the unused fragments that remain from the process of marble quarrying contain geometries that are at once incidental and intentional. the way light hits every crevice seems to celebrate these incidents and intentions in equal measure

incline series
the round markings on the fragments are original piling details used to extract cores from the ground for material sampling. they are short moments of curiosity into the hidden secrets of masses of land. the brass arm is a reflective, polished and refined support to the exposed, fragmented and unprocessed mass.

bloc series
each surface of the marble, terrazzo and brass offcuts offers a different nuance to be admired. there is no single orientation for the objects to be considered in, as with each rotation, the light plays altogether differently.
